OK, I know I missed #tbt. But I am going to pretend that it is still Thursday and post my throw back anyways.

High Line Park, New York City. |
Probably the best week of my life was the week I spent in New York City last year. In that week I met so many interesting people, not just the people I traveled with but also the professionals in my field the lived and worked in the best city of the world. I learned fantastic things about my field and was blown away by the amounts of different work that everyone did. We went to MoMA, The Met, Statue of Liberty, High Line Park, among other great NYC attractions. My favorite parts were touring Root BKN, meeting and having lunch with photographer Stephen Mallon, and being invited into Benedict Fernandez's home for coffee, cookies and stories with his wife.

If any city could persuade me on leaving St. Louis, it would be New York City. This past trip was my third trip to NYC. I swear each time I go to the City the more I don't want to leave. When I get home I always remember why I love my city as much as I do. Not just because of great family and friends, and also not just for Cardinal Nation, but because St. Louis is home. It is the perfect mix of big city and small town, and that is exactly who I am. Plus I am not sure I really could live that far away from my family or Cardinals, but don't tell anyone I said that!
